Direct Broadcasting Satellite (DBS) and Direct to Home (DTH) are the most popular way to enjoy satellite TV worldwide. Satellite antenna, coaxial cable, splitter or multi-switcher and satellite receiver are necessary.  However, satellite antenna installation might be difficult to the subscribers living in the apartments. SMATV (satellite mater antenna TV) is a good solution for people living in the building or community to share one satellite dish and terrestrial TV antenna. If the cable distance is longer than 150 meters or subscribers are more than 100, SMATV over fiber has more advantages than SMATV over coaxial cable. GLB3500M-4 fiber link includes GLB3500M-4T optical transmitter and GLB3500M-4R optical receiver. By means of RF Gain control design and each satellite IF on one optical wavelength, Greatway GLB3500M-4T has excellent optical modulation index (OMI) to ensure the RF output quality at the GLB3500M-4R optical receiver. With CWDM lasers/photodiode and low noise RF gain control circuit, one GLB3500M-4T transmitter can support up to maximum 32 GLB3500M-4R optic receivers in 5Km SM fiber distance. Each GLB3500M-4R optical receiver outputs Quattro RF outputs and Terrestrial TV RF to satellite multi-switch, offering flexible satellite TV and Terrestrial TV service.
